Over five days, the Tampere Vocal Music Festival brought singers in 82 choirs and vocal ensembles to the city. This year’s theme at the Festival was making a difference with your voice and singing your values.

In this year’s Contest for Vocal Ensembles at the Tampere Vocal Music Festival, 1st prize in the acoustic category and the Grand Prix were won by NEÅ from Finland. This is the first time since 2003 that a Finnish ensemble has won the Contest.

Bringing together choirs and vocal ensembles, the Tampere Vocal Music Festival celebrates its 50th anniversary on 11–15 June 2025. The Artistic Director of the Festival this year is composer, arranger and educator Merzi Rajala, a pioneer in choir conducting in rhythm music.
